Koh Lanta Travel Diary Thailand

After coming back from Chang Dao, we just spent the rest of the week getting massages and walking along market streets. That was a good week! We did a lot of shopping and ate a lot of good food. After exploring Chang Mai we caught a flight to Krabi and got a boat to an island called Koh Lanta. This is the part of the holiday where we just lie around like beached whales, drinking mango smoothies or cocktails. This week we watched some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen and swam in aqua coloured waters. The staff in the hotel we were staying at (Crown Lanta) were will all so friendly. We zipped around the island on tuk tuk’s, It was so fun. The fourth day we were there, we went on a snorkeling trip. We got up at about 6:30 am but, when you’re on holidays it feels like 2:30 am in the morning. We went out onto the little boat, there were about 40 people on our boat, and the color of the water was amazing nothing like I’ve ever seen before. There were so many different types of fish I couldn’t count! There was even Clown fish and Parrot fish. The man on the boat that was in charge was so funny, he had learned English and still had his Thai accent he kept Saying snorking instead of snorkeling. Now we never say snorkeling in our house we only say snorking… there was a beach right near where we were staying and it had lots of massage places, hotels, and restaurants along the beach. Three nights in a row we would walk along the beach and watch the sunset. We would get dinner in this beautiful little restaurant called moom amda bar. The food was awesome and the staff was very friendly! If you go to Koh Lanta I suggest you go to this little restaurant. All up this week was one of the best weeks of my life and if anybody is visiting Krabi or Koh Lanta I suggest you go there it’s a little place and not many people visit there, if you’re looking for somewhere not very touristy but still a lot to do, this is a good place to go. If I had to describe this week in one word I would say rejuvenating.
